With only three days left to avail steep discounts during the “Proud of Vietnamese goods” month at Co.opmart and Co.opXtra supermarkets, consumers have been making a beeline at the beginning of this week to hunt the best-priced products.
A representative of Saigon Co.op, the owner of Co.opmart and Co.opXtra supermarket systems, said sales during the "Proud of Vietnamese goods 2019" month increased sharply, proving that consumers have strongly supported the programme.
So, for the last three days of the programme, Co.opmart and Co.opXtra will keep adding products to their shelves, and offer huge discounts on many additional products.
Accordingly, from now until September 11, in addition to essential products that are discounted by up to 50 per cent, nearly 50 products including confectionery, cooling teas, seasoning powders, soy sauces, coffees, toothpastes, wet tissues, liquid detergents, fabric softeners, dishwashing liquids, and shower gels are sold at unprecedentedly sharp discounts, with many products priced from only VND3,900, under the “Buy more, get more discounts” programme.

Their prices range from VND48,000 (US$2) to VND320,000 ($13.8) depending on weight.
Besides, there are also mooncake boxes with luxurious designs and packaging, with prices from VND155,000 ($6.68) to VND800,000 ($34.5) for a box of four cakes, which will make good gifts.
Many kinds of lanterns made locally from paper and plastic, but safe for children, are also being sold at discounts of 25 per cent on average at the supermarkets.
