HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — Vietjet will increase the frequency of routes connecting Hai Phong, Da Nang, and Nha Trang to HCM City and Ha Noi as well as on the HCM City–Ha Noi route.
Accordingly, additional 500 flights – equivalent to 90,000 seats – will be added to the schedule for the coming months. From June 10, routes from Ha Noi to HCM City, Da Nang, and Nha Trang will have additional 20 return flights, 12 return flights, and five return flights daily, respectively, until August 9, 2015. The HCM City-Hai Phong route started five extra return flights from June 6 until December 31, 2015.
Earlier this year, Viet Nam's fastest growing carrier had added 1,500 flights – equivalent to 270,000 seats – across its whole network in preparation for peak season during the summer holidays.
"We have seen a high demand on daily routes from Ha Noi and HCM City to Nha Trang, Da Nang, and Hai Phong. These routes are overloaded due to an increased in the demand for tourism travel. We would like to ease this demand by adding thousands of extra seats this summer so that more travellers can enjoy our low-fares, ongoing promotions, diverse ticket classes, and convenient travel schedules," said Desmond Lin, Director of Business Development of Vietjet.
Passengers can currently avail of the airline's special promotion – "12 p.m. It's time to Vietjet" – with tickets selling from VND0 from noon to 2pm (local time) every day, until June 25, 2015. —VNS
