HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — VietJet ranked first in the tourism and hospitality industry in 2014, according to a survey that aimed to highlight the "best places to work in Viet Nam".

The annual survey was jointly conducted by Anphabe, a career networking platform, and Nielsen, a reputed market research firm, from October 2014 to January 2015. More than 15,000 respondents across 24 career fields and the nation were contacted.

The survey was based on 46 criteria in six main groups: salary, bonuses and beneficiaries; development opportunities; leadership; culture and values; job quality and life; and the company's reputation.

In 2014, VietJet received nearly 10,000 job applications.

"The key factor to this great success of VietJet is our personnel," said Tran Huu Quoc, director of VietJet Training Centre. "We always consider VietJet to be one big family and try to create a truly original and dynamic working environment so that people can excel," he added.

With 28 domestic and international routes, the airline flies to every major tourist destination and economic centre in Viet Nam, as well as others in Asia, including Singapore, Bangkok in Thailand, Seoul and Busan in South Korea and Taipei in Taiwan, besides Siem Reap in Cambodia.

The airline will continue to add more international routes and expand its fleet in 2015. To facilitate this major growth, VietJet employs 1,500 staff. This number will surge to 2,000 by the end of this year.
