HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Viet Nam's fastest growing airline Vietjet was the only Vietnamese brand to be named in the top 500 of the regional survey Asia's Top 1,000 Brands.
The survey was released recently by global marketing research company Nielsen.
The nine remaining Vietnamese firms that broke into Asia's Top 1,000 Brands were Viettel (501), Petrolimex (512), Vinamilk (558) and Mobifone (605), as well as Trung Nguyen (626), Hao Hao (654), Vietnam Airlines (708), Vietcombank (753) and P/S (807).
Despite the market volatility and tough competition between brands in Viet Nam, local enterprises have successfully gained ground, Nielsen said in its statement.
Local enterprises can now make their brands known on the regional front. If those enterprises continue to work on their brand reputation, keeping their brand promise and offering the best products and services to customers, they will be able to grow their brands from local heroes into regional giants and eventually achieve multinational status, Nguyen Huong Quynh, Managing Director of Nielsen Vietnam, said.
The annual Asia's Top 1,000 Brands survey is the biggest and most influential of its kind, revealing which brands consumers value the most across the region.
The study explores consumer attitudes in 13 markets including Australia, mainland China, Hong Kong and India, as well as Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia and the Philippines, together with Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Viet Nam.
Research relies on a total of 400 respondents in each market, except India and China where participants number 800 and 1,200 respectively. It encompasses 14 major brand categories, from alcohol to financial services, consumer electronics and automotive services, as well as more than 70 sub-categories. — VNS
