HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — Vietjet's 18th aircraft has arrived at Tan Son Nhat International airport from Toulouse, France. The aircraft is part of the airline's 100 plane order from European aircraft maker Airbus.
Previously, Vietjet also took delivery of a new A320 aircraft from Toulouse and another A321 aircraft from Hamburg, Germany.
The new addition has increased Vietjet's fleet to 40 A320s and A321. This is meant to meet the increasing travel demands of people, as well as expand its network domestically and internationally.
"We are delighted to have more new aircraft joining our fleet to continue to expand our network in the Asia Pacific region and all over the world. Vietjet is proud to operate a new, modern and lively fleet and is always committed to new generation aircraft to bring our passengers comfortable and high-quality flights," said Luu Duc Khanh, Vietjet's managing director.
To welcome this event, Vietjet is hosting a three-day promotion with one million super-saving tickets priced starting at no-charge, from noon to 2pm at www.vietjetair.com. The promotion, which will end on June 16, applies to all domestic flights from August 10 to December 31. — VNS
