Việt Nam is one of the most important markets for Sony in Southeast Asia, the Japanese giant’s country chief has said.
Satoru Arai, general director of Sony Electronics Vietnam Company Ltd., said Việt Nam’s contribution to Sony’s TV business is quite big and the country has big potential in others like the camera and audio businesses.
Speaking to Việt Nam News on the sidelines of the launching ceremony of the company’s WF-1000XM5 wireless earbuds in HCM City last week, he said Việt Nam was among the fastest growing countries in the region, and its increase in per capita income would drive demand for consumer goods, including electronics products.
“At this moment, the market is a bit down, but we are quite positive about the Việt Nam business.”
The WF-1000XM5 is the latest in the company's award-winning 1000X series and offers industry leading noise cancelling and outstanding immersive sound and call quality, according to the company.
The wireless earbuds are equipped with Sony’s new integrated V2 processor and noise-cancelling QN2e processor.
Thanks to a head gesture feature, users can receive or reject calls completely hands-free.
The new model will be launched in Việt Nam in two colours - black and silver – at a price of VNĐ6.99 million (US$294.5). Customers who pre-order between August 5 and 20 will receive a gift of an SRS-XE200 bluetooth speaker worth VNĐ2.45 million ($103.2). — VNS
