HA NOI (Biz Hub) — The Vietnam International Bank (VIB) has opened its eighth branch in the northern port city of Hai Phong.

On the occasion, the company also signed two comprehensive co-operation agreements with Doan Xa Port JSC and Tien Phong Plastic JSC. These will enable the bank to provide the firms with effective financial support, besides offering their staff diversified banking services.

In 12 years of operations in Hai Phong City, VIB has served more than 20,000 customers.

The bank said in its statement that the new branch's inauguration in the city proves its long-term commitment to backing the financial plans of enterprises, organisations as well as individuals in the city

Last year, VIB posted a pre-provision profit of more than VND1.16 trillion (US$52.1 million) and its pre-tax profit stood at VND655 billion ($29.4 million). — VNS
