Korean conglomerate SK Group will organise an event it calls ‘Demo Day for SK Startup Fellowship 2021’ (SKSF 2021) on November 11 with top start-ups showcasing their business models in front of a board of judges comprising investors, venture capitalists, entrepreneurs, and experts.

The finalists went through six months of intensive training under experts and one on one mentoring by Vietnamese and foreign entrepreneurs.

The jury will pick the top four for a grant worth US$50,000 each.

The entries are in a wide range of industries such as medtech, fintech, edutech, and agritech.

They have shown their ability to catch up with global trends by investing in R&D, and successfully exporting to global markets.

Overall, the top start-ups have proven their sustainability and strength with a unique and innovative business model, and a mindset of developing global products with scalability.

Le Hong Minh, founder and general director of VNG, Viet Nam's first unicorn start-up, will speak his business in an open keynote session. — VNS
