Some 3,000 runners nationwide are expected to take part in the annual fund-raising event Run to Give 2018 scheduled to take place on October 7 to support needy children with harelips and cleft palates.

Organized by Marriott International Hotels in Viet Nam, in cooperation with California Fitness & Yoga, the 5th charity run will take place in Ha Noi at Gamuda Garden, Da Nang at Sheraton Grand Da Nang’s beach, Nha Trang at Sheraton Nha Trang’s beach, and HCM City at Van Phuc City.

The charity run aims to raise US$45,000 with all profits going directly to support Operation Smile Vietnam. The funds will be used for life-changing surgeries to repair cleft lips and palates for children who could not otherwise afford the surgery, and for ongoing medical therapies for children in low- and middle-income brackets around Viet Nam.

Run to Give 2018 is made possible by venue sponsor Dai Phu Group and a number of other supporting sponsors includes NetNam, Dunkin’ Donuts, Pocari Sweat and eSmart.

“We believe that every child deserves the gift of an amazing confident smile and we are honored to give back to our community by working with Operation Smile to ensure that no child suffers from lack of access to safe surgery,” said Catherine Racsko, General Manager of Sheraton Nha Trang Hotel & Spa, on behalf of Marriott Business Council Vietnam and Cambodia.
