More than 1,000 people took part in a tree planting ceremony, called “AEON Hometown Forests”, organised on Saturday by AEON MALL Ha Dong Shopping Centre in collaboration with AEON Vietnam Company as a part of the centre’s pre-opening activities.

With the theme “Go green with us”, the event aims to raise awareness and educate the younger generation, the local community and AEON staff about the importance of environmental protection and sustainable development.

“We believe that a "green space” is fundamental to build a better life. The "AEON Homeland Forest" not only contributes to building a green mall for locals, but also to develop sustainable businesses and community engagement, ensuring the common success of AEON Mall in Viet Nam,” said Seiichi Chiba, Executive Vice President, Aeon Mall Co Ltd.

Chiba said that the implementation of AEON's projects in Viet Nam has contributed greatly to the country’s economic growth and job creation. Japan will continue to strengthen cooperation with Viet Nam and support the country in sustainable development.

Realising the mission of expanding green space for the community and planting 1 million trees in Ha Noi, 5,000 trees perfectly suited to Viet Nam’s natural conditions were planted around AEON MALL Ha Dong.
