Techcombank on Tuesday announced that it has become the first and only Vietnamese bank to be named among the top 11 "Best workplaces in Asia 2023" by the Great Place to Work (GPTW).
In May 2023, the GPTW also gave Techcombank the highest ranking of "Best Workplaces in Việt Nam 2023".
This recognition by GPTW, a leading global organisation that assesses workplace culture, is a testament to Techcombank's relentless efforts on its 30-year journey of development to invest in its people and create a culture that empowers them to achieve their full potential.
Michael C. Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work, said: The "Best workplaces in Asia” award demonstrates the value of investing in an organisation's human capital and creating an enabling working environment where everyone can shine and thrive."
Nikki Đặng Mỹ Quyên, Techcombank’s Chief HR Officer, said: “Becoming the first and only Vietnamese bank to be honoured in the Great Place to Work Asian rankings is truly an important and proud milestone for the bank. It reflects the excellent progress we have made on our three-decade journey to further improve our high-calibre workforce and create a high-trust working environment. This work is helping us to build a reputation as "one of the region’s leading banks" and one of the most preferred among employees and we are proud that this achievement has been recognised externally by many prestigious international awards.”
To be where it is today, Techcombank has invested heavily in its talents – one of the bank’s three strategic pillars, alongside data and digitalisation. The bank stands out by constantly launching new initiatives to retain and develop talents, to inspire its employees to be at their best, and to offer competitive compensation packages. Specifically, the bank is increasing its salary and welfare fund based on human resource development criteria and job architecture in accordance with the career roadmap of each individual.
During 2022 and the first half of 2023, Techcombank achieved several important milestones in talent strategy when it successfully conducted a series of "Overseas Talent Roadshows" in the world's leading financial and technology hubs, including in Singapore, UK, US and Australia. These talent roadshows aimed to find and attract talented Vietnamese who wished to return to their homeland, and play a part in the digital transformation of the banking industry. — VNS
