Siemens has marked its 30th anniversary of official establishment in Việt Nam during a ceremony this week in HCM City.

“We are proud to have contributed to Việt Nam’s urban infrastructure and socio-economic development for the past three decades, transforming the everyday for millions of customers and partners so they become more competitive, profitable and sustainable," Matthias Rebellius, member of the managing board of Siemens AG and CEO of Smart Infrastructure, said.

"As we enter a new decade of presence in Việt Nam, we look forward to accelerating the country’s progress towards a greener future,” he said.

“Siemens is privileged to have grown with Việt Nam over the last 30 years, doing our part to help build this country and support it to become one of the most dynamic emerging countries in Asia," Siemens ASEAN & Việt Nam President & CEO Phạm Thái Lai said.

“We are committed to strengthen our presence in Việt Nam and continue to support Việt Nam in its journey of digital transformation and sustainable development,” he said.

Siemens has strong footprints in Việt Nam and prevails in many of the country’s key infrastructure, ranging from energy, healthcare and manufacturing, to buildings, water and transportation.

The company has contributed to the development of Việt Nam's energy sector, ensuring stable energy supply for Việt Nam by participating in many important power projects ranging from fossil fuel to wind and solar.

Siemens’ automation and digitalisation solutions help Vietnamese customers in water treatment, food and beverage, paper, cement, machinery, chemical, metal and other industries to significantly enhance their productivity, energy efficiency and competitiveness. For instance, Siemens’ SIMOCRANE Crane Management System of hardware and software enables Saigon New Port – the biggest container port in Việt Nam – to maximise its productivity thus reducing vessel releasing time remarkably.

Siemens also actively supports Việt Nam in leading the digital transformation journey and embracing Industry 4.0. Siemens’ Digital Enterprise portfolio has assisted Vinfast to fulfill its ambition of building the first Made-in-Việt Nam vehicle in record time. — VNS
