GE HealthCare and Bernard Healthcare have signed a showsite agreement for the first-ever GE HealthCare Care Pathway Solution site in Việt Nam to increase access to cutting-edge technology in comprehensive diagnostic imaging, with a specific focus on oncology and vascular diseases, in the country.

The showsite will serve as a platform to showcase GE HealthCare’s latest advancements in diagnostic imaging technology, including picture archiving and communication systems (PACS), MR, CT, bone mineral density, X-Ray, and ultrasound.

Activities at the showsite will include technical site visits, training and education sessions, and the generation of clinical evidence to further enrich GE HealthCare’s clinical evidence databases.

Speaking at the signing ceremony in HCM City on August 12, Sơn Phạm, country manager of GE HealthCare Vietnam, said: “Our suite of offerings can help clinicians improve patient outcomes within a disease state and provides patients with a simplified, optimised, and personalised path through their healthcare journey.”

“The collaboration with Bernard Healthcare opens up a great opportunity for GE HealthCare to realise these targets by providing the latest technologies and equipment, as well as developing clinical education partnership programmes,” he said.

Nguyễn Nam Phương, CEO of Bernard Healthcare, said the advanced technology and comprehensive diagnostic imaging solutions will enable Bernard Healthcare to implement Japan’s Niggen Dock model, a comprehensive health screening model designed to identify potential underlying health risks before symptoms manifest in Việt Nam.

“This collaboration also facilitates professional connections with leading healthcare institutions worldwide, thereby ensuring global healthcare quality is accessible to customers and patients of Bernard Healthcare within Việt Nam,” Phương said.

The current healthcare landscape in Việt Nam called for proactive measures to address non-communicable diseases such as cardiovascular diseases and cancer. Early screening, detection, and timely treatment would be crucial for enhancing treatment effectiveness, reducing mortality rates, and overall healthcare costs, she added.

The two also organised a scientific seminar on “Application of Diagnostic Imaging and Multi-Specialty Modeling in Early Diagnosis of Dangerous Cancer & Vascular Diseases” to provide valuable insights into the importance of early diagnosis in oncology and vascular disease treatment, as well as GE HealthCare’s technical solutions. — VNS
