Samsung Việt Nam and Junior Achievement Việt Nam (JA Việt Nam) have officially launched the "Solve for Tomorrow 2024" contest.

The contest aims to give students the opportunity to apply STEM education knowledge related to the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics, while nurturing the ability to access technology and create solutions to solve social problems.

It is expected that the contest will attract about 160,000 students and teachers to register with more than 2,200 entries sent from middle and high schools across the country.

The contest will be implemented for seven months, from March 27 to October 26, and is divided into two groups.

Group A for middle school students and group B for high school students, with three rounds of competition.

The total prize value of this year's competition is up to VNĐ8 billion (US$333,333) with many attractive prize categories.

In addition, schools with first-place winning teams will be sponsored by Samsung to build a STEM Creative Space worth $70,000.

Solve for Tomorrow was initiated by Samsung Global in 2010 in the US. In Việt Nam, it was held for the first time in 2019.

The contest has become an annual creative thinking playground for middle and high school students aged 12 to 18.

The programme has attracted a total of more than 300,000 students and teachers to register, and received nearly 5,200 entries by the end of last year, in five years of organisation. — VNS
