In the first week of the “Gratitude from the heart" promotion programme, sales at Saigon Co.op’s supermarket chains have increased by 30-50 per cent compared to normal days.

The number of people who have visited its online shopping site Co.opOnline have also doubled compared to normal periods, the retailer said.

From October 26 to November 15, Saigon Co.op’s 800 points of sales nationwide, comprising Co.opmart, Co.opXtra, Co.op Food, Co.op Smile, Cheers, Finelife, and Co.opOnline have offered attractive promotions as part of the “Gratitude from the heart” programme to pay tribute to consumers.

Nguyễn Ngọc Thắng, Saigon Co.op's marketing director and director of Co.opmart's operations division, said the “Gratitude from the Heart” programme featuring promotions such as direct discounts, buy one get one free, goods priced at zero đồng, and incentives based on membership level will help customers save a lot of money in their shopping.

The programme also features diverse activities that are suitable to each customer group, especially Gen Z, he said.

As part of the programme, Saigon Co.op’s executives will also spend a day working as employees at their stores to directly serve customers and listen to their opinions.

Besides that, on weekends, Co.opmart and Co.opXtra will organise a series of workshops on planting trees, drawing pictures on bags and acoustic music performances.

From now to November 15, Saigon Co.op’s supermarkets will offer up to 50 per cent discounts on products designed as gifts for Vietnamese Teachers’ Day.

Customers with membership cards will get discounts based on their membership level when buying household appliances, apparel, private label products, detergent and cleaning products, processed foods and others, and receive additional reward points when buying products of suppliers participating in the programme. — VNS
