HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — Larry Madge has been appointed chief executive officer of Canadian joint venture insurer PVI Sun Life Insurance Company Limited.
He will be responsible for growing the Việt Nam business of Sun Life, the sixth largest life insurer and an industry pioneer in pensions.
"Larry brings a wealth of experience and insights to the CEO role and our growth ambitions for Việt Nam," Kevin Strain, president, Sun Life Financial Asia, said.
"He has joined the Vietnam team at a pivotal time having just announced we are acquiring the remaining 25 per cent stake in PVI Sun Life."
Madge was earlier Sun Life Financial's global chief actuary based at the company's headquarters in Canada.
He joined the company in 1986 and has leadership experience across product, business line, actuarial and financial functions.
PVI Sun Life was founded in March 2013. — VNS
