HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — Tanzanite International, developer of The Hamptons Ho Tram, has entered an agreement with Melia Hotels International for the latter to manage the five-star resort project.
The project, now named Melia Ho Tram at the Hamptons, covers nearly 17ha with over 500m of beachfront in Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province, around 95km from HCM City. It will have about 10,000sq.m of water surface and 129,000sq.m of landscaped grounds.
The first phase to build 156 hotel apartments and 82 villas is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2018, with investment capital of US$50 million.
MHI will be responsible for managing and leasing villas and apartments on behalf of the owners. It will also manage the project's facilities such as restaurants, conference rooms and recreational services.
MHI, with headquarters in Spain, is co-owner and manager of 370 hotels and resorts in 40 countries. In Viet Nam, it runs two hotels, Melia Hanoi and Melia Danang, with a third expected to open soon on Phu Quoc Island.— VNS
