PV Power aims to raise electricity output

The PetroVietnam Power Corporation (PV Power) sets an electricity output target of 16.703 billion kWh this year, a growth of more than 2.26 billion kWh compared to last year's estimated plan at 14.443 billion kWh.

The total revenue is expected to reach VNĐ31.7 trillion (US$1.32 billion), an increase of VNĐ1.12 trillion compared to the last year’s estimated plan at VNĐ30.6 trillion.

The corporation aims to earn a pre-tax profit of VNĐ995 billion and after-tax profit of VNĐ824 billion.

With such a profit plan, PV Power's pre-tax profit this year is expected to decrease by VNĐ332 billion compared to the estimated plan of last year at VNĐ1.3 trillion.

Profit after tax this year is expected to decrease by nearly VNĐ370 billion compared to last year’s estimated plan at VNĐ1.2 trillion.

PV Power's electricity output last year reached more than 14.44 billion kWh, equal to 93 per cent of the year's plan.

Of which the largest contribution is still Cà Mau 1&2 Plant with electricity generation output of nearly 5.3 billion kWh, followed by Vũng Áng 1 Plant with more than 4.3 billion kWh, and Nhơn Trạch 2 factory with nearly 2.9 billion kWh. — VNS
