Premium fashion retailer Runway will hold a special event where customers will have opportunities to buy luxury secondhand designer pieces at its store in the Rex Hotel in HCM City on Wednesday and Thursday.
Organised after its successful event several months ago, Runway will again be transformed into a hotspot for unique vintage and secondhand luxury goods.
All of the products have been owned by VIP clients and have been carefully curated by the buying team, according to Runway.
“For the love of fashion, out of respect for the designers and for the love of our planet, we feel a strong responsibility to support sustainable and slow fashion. This is why we encourage our clients to be open-minded and reuse and recycle,” a representative of Runway said.
“One man’s trash can be another man’s treasure. Beautifully constructed pieces don’t lose value as the seasons change and as time goes by. We should extend their lifespan and give them a second life,” she said.
Among the luxury brands to be sold include Jil Sander, Balenciaga, Marc Jacobs, Saint Laurent, Lanvin and Givenchy.
Once sold, the sales revenue will go entirely to the previous owner in the form of a voucher to spend in the stores.
Runway has also announced that its mid-season sale for the fall-winter 2019 collection has begun in HCM City and Ha Noi with discounts of up to 30 per cent.
