HA NOI (Biz Hub) — POSCO TJ Park Foundation and Vietnam National University (VNU) yesterday organised the 10th anniversary celebration of the POSCO TJ Park Foundation & POSCO Asia Fellowship Awarding Ceremony.
With the aim of contributing to education development in Viet Nam, VNU and POSCO TJ Park Foundation signed a co-operation agreement in 2005. Over the last 10 years, more than 200 VNU students have been awarded this scholarship, which has a value of US$500 each. This year, the foundation presented 15 scholarships to VNU students.
POSCO TJ Park Foundation, established in 2005, is an independent and non-profit organisation financed by POSCO, a leading global steelmaker. It has awarded scholarships to outstanding students from prestigious universities in 13 countries in Asia. In Viet Nam, the foundation has awarded more than 500 scholarships to four universities and 40 scholarships to excellent students taking part in Masters and PhD programs in South Korea, with a total value of $2 million. — VNS
