HCM CITY — With the promotions under the ‘Month to Express Gratitude to Customers in 2019’ programme at Saigon Co.op’s supermarket chains set to end on November 13, consumers are rushing to the supermarkets to hunt for the best-priced products.

Employees at Co.opmart and Co.opXtra supermarkets around the country these days are constantly adding products to shelves to meet rising demand from consumers, and long queues can be seen in front of cash counters.

The ‘Buy more, get more incentives’ programme is one of most popular with shoppers.

Under the programme, nearly 100 products from cooking oil, soy sauce, cake, instant noodles to fabric softener, shampoo, broom and tissues are sold at very attractive prices and the more customers buy, the more benefit they will get.

Accordingly, a 330ml bottle of Maggi soy sauce will be discounted from VND12,800 to VND5,000; a 1litre bottle of Simply pure rice bran oil discounted from VND59,800 to VND32,200; a 400gr pack of Meizan high-quality macaroni discounted from VND25,800 to VND5,000; a box of 21 packsx16gr G9 3in1 instant coffee discounted from VND54,700 to VND18,000; Viet Hung broom DB discounted from VND44,000 to VND25,000 when customers buy the second, fourth or sixth items of the same products and pay in the same bills.

In addition, the prices of the second, fourth or sixth items of a 3.8kg bottle of Lix laundry detergent with perfume fragrance will be reduced to VND30,000; a 2.4 litre bag of Downy fabric softener reduced from VND139,000 to VND88,900 and a pack of 10 Tempo Methol paper tissue reduced from VND43,500 to VND14,000.

In the last three days more than 100 Co.opmart and Co.opXtra supermarkets have also offered discounts of 10-20 per cent on fruits and vegetables such as durian, melon, watermelon, sapodilla, sweet potato, lapa banana, and white cabbage as well as fresh meat and fish, marinated pork, cobia and ready-to-eat food, including braised pork with eggs.

They have also offered discounts of 20-50 per cent on many household utensil products such as electric grill, thermos, super fast kettles, irons, enamel pots and pans, dishes, and food storage containers.
