Viet Nam’s automaker VinFast will supply vehicles for the 2020 ASEAN Summit held in Ha Long City in the northern province of Quang Ninh from November 27 to 29, 2020.

A total of 393 VinFast cars will be used to serve delegates from ASEAN countries during the event.

The first shipment of cars was sent to the National ASEAN 2020 Committee at the signing ceremony organised in Ha Noi on Wednesday. The rest will be handed over to the committee by September 2020.

On October 23 this year, the New Car Assessment Programme for Southeast Asian Countries awarded a 5-star (highest level) safety certificate for VinFast Lux A2.0 and VinFast Lux models in Malaysia. The two models are highly appreciated for their ability to protect adults and children.

In 2020, with the role of ASEAN Chairman, Viet Nam will host about 150 high-ranking conferences at big cities including Ha Noi, HCM City, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Ha Long and Da Lat. The participants will be leaders and government officials of 10 ASEAN nations and partner countries. — VNS
