At its “rising” wishes festival held in HCM City last week, Unilever Vietnam’s OMO brand called on the community to join hands to turn more than 500,000 wishes for Peace - Prosperity - Health on the occasion of Tet (Lunar New Year) into practical action to bring positive changes to families, society and the community.

With wishes for Peace, realized through afforestation to improve the air and life quality, OMO in collaboration with Gaia Nature Conservation plans to plant 5ha of watershed protection forest to reduce the risk of floods, prevent erosion, and protect soil in Ben En National Park (Thanh Hoa).

In addition, the brand will cooperate with the Central Council of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organisation to donate 30,000 seedlings to children as part of the "Planting trees to prevent floods" programme to be held on February 28 in Quang Binh Province, which suffered damage after the recent record floods.

The Wish for Prosperity will be directed toward Dong Thap Province, which was heavily affected by drought and saline intrusion last year, with 30,000 seedlings and fruit trees to be given to children in the province to increase family incomes, under the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s programme on presenting gifts to youth on the occasion of the Lunar New Year.

With the wish for good health, OMO is cooperating with Lifebuoy to sponsor hygiene products and encourage everyone to send their wishes and conduct practical action in public places.

The festival is the opening event for the 2021 Tet campaign titled "Turn wishes into actions – Dirt for good", and, through it, the OMO brand expects to bring positive and meaningful changes for 2021.

OMO has also released the MV "Thousands of wishes" performed by rappers Rhymastic and Suboi at the festival. — VNS
