Nestlé Vietnam supports workers with difficulties

In response to "Workers Month 2023" which falls in May, Nestle Vietnam has presented thousands of practical gifts to workers with difficulties in some provinces and cities across the country.

Through organisations, nearly 125,000 products of Nestle Vietnam, including MILO barley milk, MAGGI soy sauce, NESCAFE coffee have been delivered to employees.

In May, the company accompanied by the Golden Heart Charitable Social Fund (Viet Nam General Confederation of Labour), Dong Nai’s Provincial Labour Confederation, gave 2,600 gifts to union members, employees and poor patients in Hai Phong, Hai Duong, HCM City, and Dong Nai.

In April, in HCM City and some Mekong Delta provinces such as Long An, Tien Giang, the Confederation of Labour of the provinces, cities and affiliated units and the Golden Heart Charitable Social Fund also gave gifts sponsored by Nestle Vietnam to nearly 1,000 union members and workers in difficult circumstances.

Nestle Vietnam's support is an activity under the "Nestle Cares" corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, demonstrating the firm’s strong commitment to its mission of contributing to the development of prosperous communities, improving conditions and quality of Vietnamese people’s life.

After 28 years of establishment and development, creating shared values has always been the core criterion in the production and business activities of Nestle Vietnam. With these efforts, the company was honoured as the "Typical Enterprise for Employees" for three years in a row.

This is an annual programme hosted by the Viet Nam General Confederation of Labour, in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, and the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) to honour businesses that have been making constant efforts to take care of the material and spiritual life of employees; actively improve the working environment for employees so that they can promote their best working ability, towards the goal of both enterprises and employees to develop sustainably in the integration process. — VNS
