The Việt Nam Tourist Information Centre under the National Tourism Administration and Nestlé-MAGGI have officially introduced the Vietnamese culinary map online.
This follows the co-operation agreement between the two sides, which aims to honour diverse cultural and culinary values and contribute to the development of tourism.
By experiencing the online cuisine map, people can "enjoy" the speciality dishes of each locality, thereby understanding and appreciating the value of the diversity and richness of Vietnamese cuisine. Built as a social networking platform, this map is a place for people to interact, share, and learn recipes and stories about regional culinary culture and local ingredients. The programme would help enrich the treasure trove of delicious recipes and spread the value of Vietnamese culinary culture to domestic and international friends.
In particular, from September 8 to October 6, 2023, people can contribute and experience the culinary map on the programme's official website bientauvannguyenlieu.giadinhnestle.com.vn. With vivid graphic design and convenient operation, users can easily access and practice dishes from all over the country, enriching the daily menu for their family and friends.
Hoàng Quốc Hòa, Director of Việt Nam Tourist Information Centre, said: “We believe that the co-operation programme will contribute to promoting the Vietnamese culinary brand to the world, while promoting this type of culinary tourism, making Việt Nam an attractive destination that attracts international tourists globally.”
Lê Bùi Thị Mai Uyên, Head of the Food Division of Nestle Vietnam, said: “The online culinary map is expected to become a reputable information platform for anyone who wants to refer to preparing delicious dishes of each region, while helping visitors easily learn and enjoy the specialities of every land they pass through.”
Also under the agreement, a festival "Rising Vietnamese culinary culture" will be organised from October 20-22 in HCM City. MAGGI will also co-ordinate with HCM City Tourism Association to introduce and display the Vietnamese culinary map, and set a record with 189 dishes from 63 provinces and cities made by talented kitchen artisans. MAGGI and HCM City Tourism Association will sign a memorandum of understanding to develop Vietnamese cuisine culture. — VNS
