Tran Kim Nga, Foreign Affairs Director of MM Mega Market Vietnam, receives "Top 10 most prestigious retailers 2020".
MM Mega Market has been ranked the third most prestigious retailer in 2020 in the Top 10 list released by the Vietnam Report Joint Stock Company.

For the rankings, companies are evaluated based on three main criteria: financial capacity as shown by the latest financial report; media reputation and a survey conducted among consumers, experts and others.

Since Thailand’s TCC Land International acquired hypermarket chain METRO in 2016, MM Mega Market Vietnam (MMVN) has focused on building modern supply chains, directly connecting with farmers and local agricultural producers to ensure 90 per cent of its products are from Viet Nam.

It has organised training courses for farmers and fishermen and to teach cultivation and other techniques. The company has so far trained over 20,000 farmers and fishermen, helping them transform their production models and adopting quality standards such as VietGap and GlobalGap.

Besides the B2C segment, MMVN has also become a leading strategic partner for professional customers in the HoReCa (hotel, restaurant, canteen) segment, supplying to them a diverse range of foods and products at competitive prices.

In May 2020 it also signed an agreement with the Saigon Professional Chefs Association to carry out activities to provide consumers with cuisine knowledge and teach them how to choose safe ingredients, cooking recipes, etc to help them make fresh and safe food.

In August 2019 MM Mega Market Vietnam signed a memorandum of understanding with the Ministry of Industry and Trade to promote the export of Vietnamese agricultural goods to foreign markets.

Besides controlling product quality through software, systems and traceability QR codes and creating an Industry 4.0-era farmers community that knows how to use technology in agriculture, MMVN also offers businesses various innovative solutions to achieve sustainability goals such as reducing energy consumption and increasing the use of green and renewable energy. — VNS
