Logitem Vietnam group and the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion (NIHBT) on Wednesday gave gifts to children who are being treated at the Institute.
According to the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, the Institute receives an average of about 200 patients with blood-related diseases every month. Of them, pediatric patients account for a significant proportion. Pediatric patients are usually hospitalised for five to seven days per month and receive a lengthy treatment. Those with serious illnesses such as leukemia may require a 15 days treatment per month.
Speaking at the ceremony, general director of Logitem Tsuzuki Morimi said apart from its business activities, Logitem Vietnam has often participated in humanitarian programmes to help the disadvantaged, including patients who are being treated at the Institute.
This was part of a series of actions to implement the group's "Sustainable Development Goals" (SDGs) towards building a better and sustainable Vietnamese society, Morimi said.
