Hotel group IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the appointment of Jesper Larsen as general manager for the upcoming property InterContinental Halong Bay Resort and Residences.

Jesper Larsen has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry in many markets such as China, Japan, Việt Nam and EU.

“Việt Nam is one of the most exciting growth destinations in Asia, and I am truly excited to open IHG’s first property in Hạ Long City. I look forward to bringing a symphony of immersive and highly curated guest and culinary experiences coupled with the warmth of Vietnamese hospitality to our guests and residents, and supporting the tourism growth of the stunning Halong area,” said Jesper Larsen.

In partnership with long-time partner Hạ Long Investment and Development Limited Company, a member of BIM Group, this destination debut marks IHG’s expansion into Quảng Ninh Province in Việt Nam. It adds to the growing BIM and IHG property portfolio including Regent Phú, InterContinental Phú Quốc Long Beach Resort, Crowne Plaza Vientiane and an upcoming Holiday Inn Vientiane, a testament to their strong decade-long relationship.
