Hoa Phat Group proposed to invest in projects worth about US$4.3 billion in the Tay Nguyen (Central Highlands) province of Dak Nong.

At a recent meeting with leaders of the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee, Hoa Phat proposed to invest in projects including an aluminium project, an ore refinery plant, an aluminium electrolysis project and Hoa Phat wind power plant project.

If the investments are approved by Dak Nong province, Hoa Phat commits to focusing its strongest resources to start construction and put the project's complexes into operation in the fastest time.

Leaders of Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee said that they would co-ordinate with departments, branches and Hoa Phat Group to immediately start promoting investment procedures in accordance with the law to start the project as soon as possible.

Hoa Phat Group's revenue reached a record of VND150.8 trillion ($6.5 billion) last year, an increase of 65 per cent compared to 2020.

Profit after tax reached VND34.52 trillion, an increase of 1.56 times year-on-year. — VNS
