Thai trade fair ‘Top Thai Brands’ opened on Thursday at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Centre in HCM City.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Suparporn Sookmark, director of the Thai Trade Centre in HCM City, said the fair showcases internationally recognised Thai brands and creates a platform for Thai and Vietnamese enterprises to do business.
The event is being organised during another challenging year due to COVID-19, and everyone should strictly follow the regulations set by the HCM City government and Centre for Disease Control to ensure everyone is confident about its safety, she said.
It has attracted 100 leading Thai firms in sectors such as food and beverage, beauty and healthcare, household products, fashion accessories, automobile and motorcycle parts and accessories, tourism, and restaurants.
An ‘Online business matching’ event at the fair seeks to create a partnership between Vietnamese and 42 Thai companies from Bangkok and Kanchanaburi Province.
The four-day fair is organised by the Department of International Trade Promotion at the Thai Ministry of Commerce in co-operation with the Viet Nam National Trade Fair and Advertising Company.
It is expected to welcome 60,000 trade buyers and consumers. — VNS
