Sacombank Pay wins 2021 Sao Khue Award

The Sacombank Pay app proudly received the Top 10 Sao Khue Award at the 2021Sao Khue awarding ceremony held by the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA) on April 24 in Ha Noi.

Sacombank Pay was hailed for using advanced technologies such as big data, near field communication (NFC) technology for contactless payment, artificial intelligence (AI), and face recognition technology.

The app provides customers with a friendly interface and is easy to use with a range of different features, including account opening and credit cards.

The app is linked with domestic and international cards issued by all banks, meaning customers can actively manage cards and accounts, get consumer loans at preferential interest rates, make deposits, transfer/top-up money quickly, and make payments or withdraw cash by scanning QR codes.

Customers can use the app to buy lottery tickets, book hotels, buy airline/ car/train tickets, movie tickets, make bill payments, and top up their mobile phones.

It also allows customers to open an account with nice numbers quickly and conveniently by registering personal information and completing online identity verification (eKYC).

Truong Gia Binh, chairman of VINASA Founding Council and head of the organising committee of the 2021 Sao Khue Awards, said the products and services participating in Sao Khue this year have all innovated in terms of product development to rise to new levels by using new technologies such as AI, cloud computing, big data, IoT and blockchain.

Many products and services are on the right path and achieved high revenue growth, making them bright spots in the digital economy and contributing to Viet Nam's impressive growth performance in the past years, he said.

On the same day Sacombank also won the "Asia-Pacific Outstanding Brand 2021" award given by the Asia-Pacific Economic Journal and local and international agencies for its use of advanced technologies in business activities to meet customers’ requirements and help the increase the competitiveness of the country’s economy and promoting it.

To mark the receipt of two prestigious awards, from May 4 to July 31 Sacombank will waive all fees for customers transferring money to their accounts and domestic cards from within and outside Sacombank’s system using Sacombank Pay app. — VNS
