US cosmetics company Nu Skin's Viet Nam subsidiary on Monday announced it had achieved growth of 42 per cent last year, the highest among its operations in Southeast Asia.
Without divulging turnover or profit numbers, the company said it had paid around VND36 billion (US$1.6 million) in tax.
The company attributed the growth to the "enormous effort and enthusiasm of the 18,000 distributors in the company's network grounded in the trust and support of hundreds of thousands of customers in Viet Nam."
The company has set itself an annual growth target of 30 per cent for the next several years.
It announced the launch of ageLocy-span, an anti-ageing cream.
The company's Southeast Asia Children's Heart Fund contributed VND1.3 billion ($59,600) to the "Heartbeat Viet Nam" programme to sponsor heart surgery for 50 children this year. — VNS
