Big C supermarket is offering discounts of up to 50 per cent on more than 1,000 products like fresh and processed foods, spices, cooking oil, confectionery, and soft drinks until October 3 under a promotion titled “Tinh hoa am thuc Viet” (the Quintessence of Vietnamese Cuisine).
One of the highlights of the programme is the introduction of six “clean” food products from Son Ha District, Quang Ngai Province, including chicken, wild chilli, vegetable fern, forest banana flower, and forest pip banana.
The products, which are being sold at 15 Big C stores in the south, are part of Central Group Viet Nam’s Sinh ke cong Dong (Livelihood for Communities) programme meant to improve the incomes of poor farmers in remote areas.
The programme also offers discounts of 21-25 per cent on fruits like mango and lemon, salads and coconuts, and 20-40 per cent on processed foods such as grilled chicken, sticky rice with chicken, Italian-style noodles, butter bread and others.
Customers have the chance to receive attractive gifts, and win prizes from scratch cards during the programme. — VNS
