Cuckoo Electronics officially entered the Vietnamese market on Wednesday in Ha Noi and released two products designed for Vietnamese people.

This brand first appeared in Viet Nam in 2001 through clients and retailers. Realising the huge potential of the Vietnamese market, the group officially launched Cuckoo Viet Nam to boost its business in Ha Noi and HCM City.

Park Mun-chul, representative of Cuckoo Group, said beside electric rice cookers and multifunctional electric pressure cookers, the company will introduce water purifiers and humidifiers in Viet Nam.

By establishing the branch in Viet Nam, the group expected to be a popular brand for all Vietnamese families, he said.

“To meet the demand of Vietnamese customers, we design two products in Vietnamese language with suitable function for Vietnamese people’s lifestyle and cooking habit,” he said.

Cuckoo has 73 per cent of the Korean rice cooker market share and has led the market for more than over 14 years and sold some 25 million rice cookers since its establishment in 1978. — VNS
