Bayer is supporting hospitals in Lombardy, Italy, with a donation of one million euros.

The money is being added to a aid fund local authorities have set up to procure urgently needed equipment for intensive care units in hospitals with the greatest needs.

The chairman of the company’s management board, Werner Baumann, said: “Our emergency aid is designed to help support hospitals and hospital staff during the crisis. Our colleagues in Italy are working with unbelievable commitment to maintain the supply of our medicines.
