Digital travel platform Agoda has begun to list properties for stays of up to 90 days to capitalise on the growing trend of using vacation rentals for long-term stays.

It said with more people looking for flexible, long-term accommodation for various reasons such as travel, relocation and overseas assignments, the long-term stay feature allows accommodation partners to benefit from this trend, especially during the low travel season.

"With the growing popularity of Agoda Homes, we continue to identify ways to optimise occupancy for our accommodation partners, driving us to innovate new features that deliver additional revenue while also improving our travellers’ experience,” David Salamon, director of product for Agoda Homes, said.

“We have seen an increased number of travellers … booking the same property multiple times over an extended period. This latest feature will make it hassle-free for travellers to book longer term accommodation.”

Agoda offers a global network of over 2.6 million properties in more than 200 countries and territories, offering travellers easy access to a wide choice of luxury and budget hotels, apartments, homes and villas.

The Singapore-based company is part of Booking Holdings and its mobile app is available in 38 languages. — VNS
