PetroVietnam Packaging Joint Stock Company (PPC) on Monday officially inaugurated its Bac Lieu PetroVietnam Fertiliser Plant in southern Bac Lieu Province.

Located in the province’s Trà Kha Industrial Park, the plant began construction in May, with designed capacity of 30,000 tonnes per year. The VND31 billion (US$1.37 million) project is the first plant to be equipped with modern and synchronous machines in the province.

The plant’s main products are high quality urea and N.humate+ TE fertilisers. These are the company’s strategic products to expand production scale to maximise business and ensure sustainable development targets. This can also help the company popularise its brand name both inside and outside the country.

The company’s representative said the plant will provide high quality fertiliser products to the market for the purpose of ensuring national food security. In addition, the plant will also contribute to the province’s economic development to become a key economic hub in the Mekong Delta Region.– VNS
