Thousands of families and young people attended the event series AEON Ekiden at the AEON Ha Dong in Ha Noi on July 31.

The event, including a relay race combined with a Viet Nam-Japan cultural festival, is a part of activities on the 10th anniversary of AEON Vietnam.

“The AEON Ekiden Run is a community activity in the series of events to celebrate the 10th anniversary of AEON Vietnam. It is not only a mere sport activity, but also represents teamwork and people connection. Through this activity, we wish to promote a healthy and happy lifestyle as well as a spirit of cohesion in the local community and between Viet Nam and Japan. This is also a sincere thank you to the local community, we could not have achieved the achievements today without everyone's trust & support during the past 10 years," said Tanaka Kosei – Back Office Executive Director, AEON Vietnam.

The Viet Nam - Japan Cultural Festival aims to promote the cohesion between the two cultures of Viet Nam and Japan, contributing to enriching the local community's experience through games, activities and food stalls.

The cultural experience area attracted many participants, with many traditional Japanese games such as Supa Boru Sukui (picking marbles); Breaking Mochi, Fukuwarai or Making sunshine dolls and To he.

During the festival, customers also enjoyed traditional Japanese performances such as Yosakoi Dance and Taiko Drum Dance. The "AEON Cosplay Expo 2022" was an interesting playground for young people interested in cosplay.

The Ekiden 2022 event at AEON Ha Dong brought interesting experience, as well as unique cultural and spiritual values to the local community.

On July 23, the Vietnam Record Organisation also recognised two records for "Tallest Lantern Tower and Largest Lantern Painting in Viet Nam" at the AEON Tan Phu Shopping Centre in HCM City.

The event is part of AEON Vietnam’s gratitude to thank all customers, local communities and stakeholders who have accompanied and supported the Japanese company in the past decade.

The event will continue to take place at AEON Binh Duong in Thuan An City, Binh Duong Province on August 21 and AEON Tan Phu in HCM City on October 2. — VNS
