HCM CITY – IHG Hotels & Resorts has recently published a new report to showcase the impact of the community partnerships it has forged in East Asia & Pacific including Việt Nam, with 334,000 lives reported to be improved in 2024.

As part of IHG’s commitment to improve 30 million lives by 2030, its partnership in Việt Nam with Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation directly supported 3,500 children and youths in Điện Biên Province through skills training, career orientation workshops, scholarships, and educational assistance in 2024.

In addition, IHG supported 180 families whose housing was wiped out by flooding caused by Typhoon Yagi last year.

These are just two examples of how IHG’s global purpose of “True Hospitality for Good” is being brought to life in Vietnam.

Across East Asia & Pacific, almost 12,000 colleagues participated in community activities in 2024, devoting over 32,000 hours to local causes in collaboration with 382 community partners across 18 countries.

Rajit Sukumaran, SVP & managing director, East Asia & Pacific (EAPAC), IHG Hotels & Resorts, said: “I am incredibly proud of the impact our teams have made through devoting their time and energy to the communities around us. In collaboration with our incredible partners, we improved the lives of over 334,000 people last year, a fantastic achievement.

“We’re not stopping here – being a force for good is in our DNA at IHG, with 97 per cent of colleagues saying that community activities make them feel more connected to IHG’s purpose of True Hospitality For Good.”
