HCM CITY — Samsung Vietnam, in partnership with Junior Achievement Vietnam (JA Vietnam), officially launched the 'Solve for Tomorrow 2025' competition in the southern region with a roadshow event in HCM City on May 30. The launch marks the final stop in a nationwide series across the northern, central and southern regions.
This year’s roadshow series, themed 'Solve for Tomorrow on Tour – Spreading knowledge, inspiring creativity', reached 14 schools in 10 provinces and cities, bringing STEM education to around 12,000 students. Through hands-on activities such as robotics, AI workshops and career orientation, the programme aims to foster students’ interest in science and technology and promote innovation from an early age.
According to Samsung, the competition is expected to engage around 50,000 students in the southern region alone. In 2024, southern schools contributed nearly 800 submissions, with several teams achieving high recognition. These included one team from Hậu Giang winning first prize in the Lower Secondary category, and others from Bến Tre and HCM City receiving national awards.

Speaking at the event, Vice President of Samsung Vietnam Kim Yong Sup said: “Solve for Tomorrow is one of our core CSR initiatives. I’m proud to see this year’s competition launched in HCM City – the economic heart of Việt Nam. We hope to inspire more students to explore their creativity and contribute to building a better society.”
Trần Thị Huyền, Director of Hau Giang’s Department of Education and Training, highlighted the programme’s role in bringing science closer to students in rural areas, helping to nurture a passion for learning and future development.
Now in its sixth year, the competition encourages lower and upper secondary students to apply STEM knowledge to address real-life social issues. The 2025 contest includes themes such as environmental sustainability, the intersection of sports and technology, and the application of AI for social impact.
Running from March to October, Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2025 offers training, mentorship and a total prize pool worth nearly VNĐ6 billion, including STEM Lab sponsorships of US$60,000 for top schools. — BIZHUB/VNS
