QUANG NAM (Biz Hub) — VinaMazda achieved a sales record of 789 cars in August, a 123 per cent increase year on year, the company said in a statement.
The company said 259 units of Mazda CX-5, the crossover utility vehicle (CUV), were sold, comprising 33 per cent of the record sales figures in August, while 353 units of the small sedan Mazda3 and BT50 pickup were sold.

According to the latest report of the Viet Nam Automobile Manufacturing Association (VAMA), VinaMazda sold over 5,000 cars over the first eight months of this year, achieving a 155 per cent growth year on year.
The company has offered discounts of VND45 million ($2,100) for CX-5 and VND40 million ($1,900) for BT50 in September.

Meanwhile, buyers will also get discounts between VND12 million ($570) and VND20 million ($952) for sedan models Mazda2S, Mazda 3 and Mazda 6.
VinaMazda said the promotion programme aims to achieve a sales target of 9,000 cars this year. — VNS
