QUANG NAM (Biz Hub) — The Truong Hai Automobile Company (Thaco) has launched four locally produced new bus models, namely Thaco County TB75S, Thaco Town TB82s, Thaco Town TB95S and Thaco Universe TB120S, this year.

The new models, having between 29 seats and 47 seats, are equipped with Cumins and Weichai diesel engines and electronic fuel injection systems (common rail system) which meet the Euro 3 emission standards.

The luxury models use various suspensions and shock absorbers such as the parabolic suspension system and Komman and airbag suspension kits to facilitate smooth travel.

The Quang Nam-based firm plans to provide 1,500 public, sleeper/seater buses to the market.

Thaco has so far manufactured and distributed vehicles of three foreign brands, namely Kia of South Korea, Mazda of Japan, and France's Peugeot.

The local car maker sold 17,851 vehicles and earned a huge net profit of VND1.245 trillion (US$59 million) in the first half of this year. — VNS
