DA NANG (Biz Hub) — The authorities in the central port city of Da Nang has begun applying reduced registration fees for vehicles with less than 10 passenger seats.
People registering these vehicles will only have to pay 10 per cent of the vehicle's sale price as of today, down from the old fee of 15 per cent.
The city, which is the second municipality to cut the fees after Ha Noi, hopes to boost car purchases and ease difficulties for auto businesses.
Agents of Toyota Motors Vietnam, Hyundai, Kia and Ford in Da Nang said the number of car orders had increased substantially since last month when the reduction of registration fees was announced. — VNS
