HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Mercedes-Benz Viet Nam introduced its new E-Class car on Wednesday at the opening of the Zircobond electro-dipping facility.
According to the manufacturer, the new E-Class has four models - the E200, E250, E400 and E400 AMG.
All variants of the new E-Class are equipped with turbo-charged engines. The E200 is equipped with a 1.991cc engine using just 6litres/100km. Meanwhile, the E400 or E400 AMG can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 5.3 seconds - faster than the Porsche Boxster or Ford Mustang!
The Mercedes-Benz E-Class has been the most successful luxury sedan in the world for 50 years with global sales of over 13 million units. In Vietnam, the E-Class was the first model to appear on the market in 1996. It became the bestseller in the mid-size luxury segment.
In the first half of this year, sales of Mercedes-Benz have risen by 59 per cent. Globally, the company also set a new record for the first half with sales of 694.433 vehicles, up 6.4 per cent compared to the same period in 2012. — VNS
