HA NOI (Biz Hub) — Video-sharing website YouTube recently launched its offline viewing mode on mobile devices in Viet Nam.
The new mode makes it more convenient for users and reduces mobile data use in the context of usage growth on Android and iOS operating systems.
After videos are downloaded into mobile devices, they can be watched in the offline mode after the Internet connection is disconnected.
Google, which owns YouTube, launched the offline feature in several markets across the world at the end of last year.
Regional Director of YouTube Partnerships, YouTube Asia-Pacific, Ajay Vidyasagar said the availability of YouTube videos offline would help people to watch their favourite videos, attracting more viewers.
He said YouTube would continue its research to offer users in Viet Nam useful functions, to help them access interesting contents without being concerned about connections or costs. — VNS
