Three winners are awarded with their prizes in HCM City— Photo Microsoft Viet Nam

HCM CITY— Three students will represent Viet Nam in the final round of competition at the Microsoft Office Specialist World Championship 2013 in Washington DC between July 31 and August 3, organisers announced yesterday (June 11).

The winners were Ho Tran Hieu Trung of HCM City Economics University,Bui Huu Hong Hai, a student at the HCM City University of Foreign Languages – Information Technology, and Phan Tien Dung, a student at the HCM City University of Banking.

Three winners received prizes worth VND100 million (US$4,800) each. The prize includes a tour to the US for the competition, as well as a laptop and a mobile phone.

The national rounds of the contest attracted more than 1,000 candidates from universities, colleges, vocational schools and high schools nationwide to demonstrate their mastery of Microsoft Office products.

Tran Dinh Vi from the Ho Chi Minh City Banking University won first prize in the Microsoft Office Word 2003 category at the Microsoft Office World Champion 2012 (MOWC 2012) on August 1 in Las Vegas .—VNS
