DigiPower has merged with Mat Bao Corporation, one of the leading domain registrars and hosting services providers in Viet Nam.

Demand for domain names and hosting services has increased sharply amid the Covid-19 outbreak since more businesses are adopting online models to meet a surge in online shopping, especially in big cities like Ha Noi, HCM City and Da Nang.

DigiPower has long experience in domain names and hosting.

Under the agreement, from September 3 DigiPower's entire HR system and customers migrated to Mat Bao, which is offering many preferential policies to welcome them.

Nguyen Ngoc Dung, vice president of the Viet Nam E-commerce Association, said: “DigiPower is known as the first virtual server provider in Viet Nam. Besides providing virtual servers, DigiPower also provides domain names and hosting and email services for businesses.

“DigiPower has a large customer base with more than 30,000 customers. Mat Bao's acquisition … brings great growth opportunities to help it expand market scale.”

At the signing ceremony on September 3, Huynh Ngoc Duy, CEO of Mat Bao, said, “I firmly believe that DigiPower's experience and reputation in the domain name and hosting fields will help Mat Bao improve the customer experience, creating a momentum for it to develop quickly and expand its market.” — VNS
