BERLIN (Biz Hub) – Vietnam Airlines' (VNA) branch in Germany has met its 2014 targets for revenue and services, despite the problems being faced by the global aviation industry.

This information was given out at a ceremony held for presenting VNA's new products in Berlin on December 17, reported a Vietnam News Agency correspondent from the German city.

Among those who attended the ceremony were Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany Nguyen Thi Hoang Anh, a representative of Berlin airport, tourism agencies and VNA's partners.

Nguyen Quoc Phuong, the VNA branch director, revealed that the airline has strengthened its market segment on flights between Germany and Viet Nam, with 86 per cent seat occupancy.

He also revealed that in 2015, the airline will operate the Boeing 787 -9 Dreamliner to provide better services to customers.

VNA will also offer more services and promotion programmes for passengers in Germany, particularly the regular ones.

It will operate direct flights from Berlin to Ha Noi to help German-Vietnamese people to visit their homes for Tet (Lunar New Year Festival).

Phuong pointed out that Germany is among the most important foreign markets of VNA. The airline also expects to attract more passengers once it starts operating from Berlin's new airport. – VNS
