HA NOI (Bizhub) – Viet Nam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk)'s products would be sold in the United States after they were displayed at the Summer Fancy Food Show.
Vinamilk joined the Summer Fancy Food Show 2016 held in the United States (US) from June 26 to June 28 with the support of the Viet Nam Trade Promotion Centre for Agriculture (Agritrade). This was the first time Vinamilk attended this trade fair, along with 11 other Vietnamese enterprises, said Vinamilk's website.
At the food show, Vinamilk and Driftwood Dairy Inc. – a company 100 per cent owned by Vinamilk in the US – introduced condensed milk and creamer products with the Driftwood brand manufactured at the Vinamilk factory in Viet Nam. Those products were scheduled to be exported to the US.
Vinamilk's two new products attracted the attention of the customers visiting the fair, opening up opportunities to export Vinamilk's milk products, the company said.
In addition, Vinamilk's Driftwood also brought its traditional pasteurised milk products to the food show this year.
Vinamilk's products have received quality certificates and an import licence from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) after meeting all requirements on quality and food safety for the food industry in general and the dairy industry in particular.
With that, Vinamilk has promoted further its integration process into the international market with high-quality products, the company said.
The company joined Summer Fancy Food aimed at introducing Vinamilk – Driftwood Company and seeking distributors for supplying high quality products with competitive prices to large supermarket chains in the US.
After the fair concluded, a decision was taken that the condensed milk and creamer products produced by Vinamilk would be sold in the supermarkets in Arizona and California.
The Fancy Food Fair Show, which is held twice every year, is one of the largest fairs in the US food industry and attracts thousands of well-known businesses in the world food processing and production industry.
The Summer Fancy Food Show 2016 attracted nearly 3,000 enterprises displaying their products at the Jacob Javits Centre in New York and more than 47,000 visiting food experts. The Fancy Food Show is a channel connecting food processors and producers to distributors in America. — VNS
