HCM CITY (Biz Hub) — In Jae Company from the Republic of Korea has signed a contract with Cao Lanh Cooperative in Dong Thap Province, Mekong Delta, to buy 80 tonnes of limes per month.
Director of the Cooperative Pham Minh Cuong said the limes would be shipped to the RoK company in four batches at an initial price of VND20,000 (US$9) per kilogramme.
The limes, produced in accordance with VietGAP standards, have met the requirements of the company, according to Cuong.
VietGAP limes are mainly grown in Binh Thanh Commune in Cao Lanh District and An Hiep Commune in Chau Thanh District, with the involvement of 75 households.

Currently, the district has over 800ha of lime trees. A brand name has also been developed to boost exports and domestic consumption, according to Thu.—VNS
